Senior Pastor

"If God can call and use a guy like me, you have no excuse not to realize His desire to do great things in and through your life!"
     ~ Pastor Jim Finch.

At an early age God has shown me that my limitations can become a great strength when I fully give myself to Christ. Born in Austin, TX in 1965, church was always a part of my life. In fact it was the South Austin Church of the Nazarene that raised me. I owe a debt of gratitude to the godly men and women of that congregation.

Leaving the security of that church, I headed to college and attended Southern Nazarene University. At SNU I again was surrounded by Christians who would guide me, love me, and show me my full potential. Achieving a bachelors and after that a masters in theology, I had the educational background to join the ministry.

Having the support of an amazing wife, I joined the staff at Yukon First Church of the Nazarene. Laurie and I served Yukon as their children's and youth pastor. Following our time at Yukon, we packed a moving truck, our two children at the time and moved to Valparaiso, Indiana. While at Valparaiso I served as the children's pastor. What a beautiful time of ministry we had before heading back to Oklahoma. Since that time till now, I have served as a Senior Pastor in Oklahoma, New Mexico, Texas and Arizona.

Along the way, Laurie and I have enjoyed the births of five children. Heather our oldest, Miles our first boy, Holli a delight, and the surprise of Ashley and Aaron our twins. We arrived here at Columbine Hills on June 2, 2009 with a great excitement to be in beautiful Colorado. I have walked many miles in a loving relationship with Jesus Christ. His kindness and mercy have been the benchmark of my ministry. The grace I preach about is the same grace I have enjoyed as God through Christ has forgiven me, loved me, and carries me even now. In my bio, I want very much to be identified as a believer of Christ Jesus. In my mind, it is about Him.

When he arrived and saw the evidence of the grace of God, he was glad and encouraged them all to remain true to the Lord with all their hearts. Acts 11:22-24
