Men's Ministries
You might wonder why we are called the Search and Rescue Team. Search and Rescue has been a part of my life (Pastor Mike) since the early 70's. After I got out of the Navy I joined the San Diego Sheriff's Department Search and Rescue Team. For many years after that I was a part of S&R teams or fire departments either in California or Colorado, including the Elizabeth Fire Department and Jeffco Mounted Search and Rescue. Now, God has called me into service as the Men's Ministry Pastor here at Columbine Hills Church. He has a greater search and rescue assignment for us: search for unsaved men and rescue their souls through the blood of Jesus Christ.
Paul writes in 2 Timothy 2:2: "And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also." As we put these inspired words of God into practice daily, we will not only become Christ-like in our personal lives, we will become better servants in our local churches and demonstrate a more consistent testimony in our community.
The goal of our Men's Ministry is to, through God's word, search for support and resources that will better equip men with the tools they need to find peace and purpose in their roles as leaders, husbands, fathers, and friends. To rescue them from a life of fear, pain, and uncertainty with the love of the Holy Spirit is God's calling for us all.
